Numelatives

We were recently approached by The Rizzeria, a Sydney-based artist collective, to produce some prints for their upcoming Brand X residency. We don’t need much of an excuse to design riso prints, and had an idea floating around that we knew would be perfect.

Have you ever noticed that a lot of famous duos share the same number of letters in their names? From space siblings Luke & Leia, to Ab Fab’s Edina & Patsy, here's a collection of a few of our favourites.

Incidentally, have you ever wondered if there was a term to describe these sorts of people? Turns out there isn’t — until now. With a little help from readers of The Sydney Morning Herald's Column 8, we can now proudly say that people whose names share the same number of letters are also known as ‘Numelatives’.
